The original obstacle race will add in a location in Scotland on January 3rd 2016 working in partnership with Brass Monkey Events. For the first time ever Tough Guy founder, Mr Mouse aka Bill Wilson, has allowed the Tough Guy name to move from outside Wolverhampton, the site of the original Tough Guy assault course which first began in 1987.
Brass Monkey Events have renamed the event to ‘Mac Tough Guy’, which will, as it stands, be the first Obstacle Course Race (OCR) of 2016 just four weeks before The Original. Brass Monkey Events are a team of obstacle racers and fitness professionals who have experienced a variety of obstacle races and want to bring something different to the race scene.
Brass Monkey commented:
“Under the guidance and mentor-ship of Mr Mouse we are creating a course that will do Tough Guy the original proud. The event will make great practise to The Original later that month”
The 15km course will be set at the most extreme location between Glasgow and Edinburgh in the coldest Scottish winter. Brass Monkey continued:
“We will be continuing you the essence of Tough Guy The Original with respect to the obstacles contained in the event as you know it. However, we will be adding our own Scottish Twist to these obstacles, hoping to add a new flavour for you all here in Scotland. We will be using the terrain at its best, the weather we hope will bring you the best of the weather that we know Scotland is known for (just imagine). We will leak some obstacles and training tips as the event approaches, keep your eyes glued to our facebook page”
Entry fee will be £65 p/person with a number of prices for teams of 5 and 10.
