Northern obstacle heavyweights, No Ego Challenge hosted their third event of 2014 in Penrith, Cumbria. Located deep in Lake District country, Event Director, Brian Lee had cheekily extended the race from 6 to 8.5 miles. Taking in terrain that included moorland heath, bogs, forestry and a former limestone quarry, the natural landscape was energy sapping on its own.
Add to that over 50 obstacles including monkey bars, high walls, disappearing stepping stones and the finale, the Scarfell Pike ramp climb, the No Ego team put on great event. They even brought a great mixture of Autumn weather in the form of wind, rain and sun. Muddy Race had a team running in the green colours and well done to them and all the participants. Expect No Ego to continue hosting great OCR events in 2015.
