Men’s Health Survival of The Fittest London was back for its third year, and this time at the home of football, Wembley Stadium.

Waves every 15mins in order to get over 5,000 runners round the course

A large stack of hay-bales to contend with for the first obstacle

Birds eye views of the entrance (a military operation required to prepare for this huge event)

The miserable weather certainly didn’t put us or the crowds off

Water slide fun with the home of football as the backdrop

It was our birthday - did you see this man on the course?

Survivors circled Wembley Stadium

Obstacles bigger and better than last year (not for the fainthearted or those scared of heights)

Help is always on hand at this fun and friendly event

Lose your bib in the number muncher

Not even this urban jungle is exempt from wading through cold water obstacles

Challenging incline walls to contend with

Help at the final water obstacle

Team Muddy Race help each other at the final wall

Proud survivors celebrating at the finish line, bearing their muddy arms for the world to see

Double World Obstacle Race Champion Jon Albon wins for the third year running

Nightfalls and the night run is closing in

Survivors play aerobatics at the muddy plunge pool

Survivors carefully crawl underneath the barbed wire as darkness closes in
