Adventure giants Red Bull are hosting a brand new swimming obstacle race in Glasgow that will include a 420m sprint swim in the Maryhill Locks canal over 8 gate locks.
The first of its kind in the world, Neptune Steps will take you from horizontal to vertical in a matter of moments. If this hasn’t broken your spirit yet then you’re in luck, as each Lock Gate will have its own surprise waiting for you that will test your speed and strength. Red Bull are lovingly calling each gate “The test” which vary from cargo nets and a variety of rope obstacles – with eight lock gates the total ascent is 17m.
