Two Days Of Fun, Fitness and OCR!

For one price, the UK’s first OCR themed fitness weekend with over 6 different 45 minute workout sessions from experts, overnight camping, food and an after party.

Overview


For one weekend in August we’re taking over a campsite. Exclusive to us the Whittlebury Park camp site will be ours, with a weekend of Obstacle Race inspired workouts.

The weekend is designed for you to have fun, meet other likeminded fitness enthusiasts, learn new techniques and of course burn a few calories whilst doing it! We’ve got fitness experts running different sessions on the Saturday and Sunday, as well as a party on the Saturday evening.

Workouts will run all day and you can choose which sessions you want to attend to fit in with your day. We’re limiting it to 200 people so book early to get in and to save over £25.

Accommodation and Location


Based at Whittlebury Park Campsite, Northamptonshire (next to Silverstone Race Track), exclusive to Muddy Race for that weekend.

Free camping, with permanent toilet and hot shower block next to a lake. Plus choose from our extra options for swimming pool access or treat yourself to heat and ice spa experience in the spa to relax the muscles!

Whittlebury Park restaurant will provide tasty food for the weekend in the marquee on site. On the Saturday there will be a Muddy Race Summer Party with entertainment, music and games in our marquee.

Over 6 different workouts to choose from including

Spartan Race Training

SGX training will prepare you for battle for your next Spartan Race or any Obstacle Race. Focusing on mental strength and obstacle ability. On the Sunday we’ll be doing one mass Spartan inspired workout provided by Spartan Race trainers with free Spartan Race T Shirts being given out and other goodies!

Functional Fitness by Fitness Garage

The Fitness Garage gym from Sheffield was not only awarded best newcomer gym at the 2014 National Fitness awards but it’s also the home of top UK obstacle racer Conor Hancock. Be ready to smash tyres with sledge hammers, swing kettle bells, use battle ropes, crawl about with a US inspired military workout that is as much about fun as it is hard work!

Boxercise

Boxing is perfect OCR training, it’s a high intensity fun workout to get you working together. Our qualified Boxercise trainers will run a Boxing inspired workout for you.

Beginners Parkour

Parkour is the ultimate obstacle training discipline. Originating from France it is the art of running, climbing, swinging, mantling, vaulting, jumping and rolling. Our Parkour experts will take you through the basics of Parkour to get you doing all of this quickly, efficiently and easily! From jump from hay bales to mastering the Lache bar swing!

Yoga

Think you’ve done Yoga? Think again, we’re taking Yoga outside and making it fun! Learn techniques that you can do at home to improve flexibility and avoid injuries. Karen Goss Yoga will be taking you through Yoga moves to ease those aches and pains giving you moves to take home with you.

Muddy Race Obstacle Course

It’s time for us to unleash some obstacles on you! There will also be a mini obstacle course with walls, jumps, monkey bars and our own Muddy Race Rig. Inspired from America and Sweden we’ll be creating our own exciting obstacles for you to practice on.

Our trainers will be there showing you techniques on how to get over them including UK champion Conor Hancock who will be helping to coach sessions throughout the day.

Running Techniques

We’ll also have experts coaching running technique sessions demonstrating how to improve your posture and answer any questions you may have.

FAQs


Workouts - on arrival you will choose which workouts you want to do. Throughout the two days there will be different workouts for you to choose when you want to participate in them. To organise crowding we ask you to choose times that suit you. Classes will last around 45 minutes with breaks in between.

Am I fit enough? - like all our training events all abilities are welcome though for a fitness weekend we ask that you are generally fit and considered safe to conduct exercise from your doctor.

Meals - the meals will be served in the marquee and all high quality food cooked in the Atrium by Whittlebury Park. Please note Saturday breakfast is only available for those that have purchased it.

Camping - the camp site has fixed permanent hot showers and toilets. Upon arrival you will be allocated a wrist band. You can park your car next to your tent. We cannot offer tent hire. If camping isn’t your thing there is a cheap Premier Inn close by this an additional cost to the ticket and something to organise yourself.

You can also stay on the site in the Paddock Suite rooms which are £105 per night for a twin/double and £92 for a single which includes breakfast. Please email [email protected].

Alcohol - we ask you to drink responsibly but do allow small amounts of alcohol on site, but not in the marquee where there will be a bar serving drinks and cocktails throughout the evening.

On Site - the event will be across two fields, one for camping and one for workouts. There is also a hotel and spa - Hotel Spa passes can be purchased separately before the day for £30 which includes heat and ice treatments in the Spa. Please email us at [email protected] if you or a partner wants this. These cannot be purchased on the day.

Health and Safety - all our instructors are qualified professionals and we follow industry guidelines. Your safety is paramount so we ask for you to follow our advice when training. Not doing so accepts liability for any damage to yourself.

Refunds - we regret that we cannot offer a refund less than 30 days before the event.

Menu - breakfast buffet including tea, coffee, orange juice, fresh fruit, fruit medley, Greek yoghurt, muesli, branflakes and Weetabix. Lunch buffet will be a selection of cold meats/fish with salad, pasta, dips, jacket potatoes and French bread. Dinner will be a BBQ with 3 meats to choose from with salads, coleslaw, couscous, feta salad, potatoes and French bread.
